On the front of Solo there are two mini jacks, one for headphone listening, the other an input for alternative devices, such as personal MP3 players. Solo also has sophisticated multiple alarm settings.

Solo can also drive most other brands of high-fidelity loudspeakers more effectively than some separate components. The computer control interface of Solo enables it to be a key component of a multi-room system.
